This project has a place in our heart. The hard-working guys at Archways and Ceilings wanted to show their love for Waxahachie, Texas, where their HQ is located. They gave us notes and references about this tourist-friendly, year-round fun community and we hit the drawing board.

This 33ft wide mural was printed to a vinyl substrate and mounted to a sign-board facade they affixed to the side of their building on Cantrell Street. It features:
• The beautiful Ellis County Courthouse
• ‘Gingerbread’ architecture
• Scarborough Renaissance Festival
• The picturesque historic downtown
• Lake Waxahachie
• A nod to its well-established film location reputation
• Music and entertainment
• Agricultural roots
• Historic Missouri-Kansas-Texas Railroad caboose
• Waxahachie High School

The Scott brothers’ business is as firmly planted here as the ol’ crape myrtle trees that line the streets (the city is known as the “Crape Myrtle Capital of Texas”). We aimed to capture the American charm of this Texan city as well as the American spirit that Archways and Ceilings continues to build their business upon.
